George PegelowSEC Contributing Member
George Pegelow graduated from Stanford University and taught martial arts, sports psychology, eastern thought at Stanford for 25 years. Pegelow also taught performance enhancement skills to a variety of Stanford varsity athletes. He was a special skills coach for the San Francisco Forty Niners during the Bill Walsh era. During the past twenty years, Pegelow has been working as a member of the Marin County Human Rights Commission and the American Civil Liberties Union to address issues of campus culture and education equity in Marin County schools. For the past several years, he has led an effort to expand the involvement of students in decision making in their schools. Pegelow has also been a mentor for at-risk youth for over 15 years.
